As an Onsite Service Engineer at Varian, A Siemens Healthineers Company, you will be working with the most advanced cancer treatment technology: the Proton Therapy System—a cutting-edge form of radiation therapy that uses a particle accelerator (cyclotron) to precisely target tumors while sparing healthy tissue. Varian, A Siemens Healthineers Company, is proud to deliver this revolutionary treatment to Helse Bergen , and we need innovative engineers to help operate and maintain this life-saving technology.
What You'll DoAs an Onsite Service Engineer, you will be a part of Varian's support team, ensuring the smooth operation of our Proton Therapy System.
Hands-on maintenance and support for our advanced proton therapy equipment and related systems.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving to keep the system running at peak performance during clinical hours.
Performing Preventative Maintenance and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Working with hardware, software, PCs, and wireless networking to support the system.
Varian will provide extensive training , including opportunities to train at Varian EMEA facilities, so you can master this technology and continue to grow your expertise.
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are excited to work at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
Technical education (Bachelor's, Master's, or Technician).
Mechanical skills (e.g. vacuum pumps or electric motors) and knowledge of electronic/electro-mechanical equipment.
Fluent English language skills (both written and spoken). Fluency in Scandinavian language is a plus.
A desire to work in a dynamic environment with shift work—this role could be perfect for you!
Additional Skills That Set You Apart
Experience with computer systems and troubleshooting.
An understanding of networks and wireless systems.
Interest in medical imaging technology.
A strong desire to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
