Dehon Group is recruiting a Continuous Improvement Specialist to strengthen performance at our chemical production site in Bergen op Zoom. In this role, you will lead improvement initiatives across production and warehouse operations, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance safety, efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

About the Role
As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will play a central role in identifying, initiating, and leading improvement projects within the chemical plant, with a strong focus on production and warehouse operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement and deliver tangible, data-driven results.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a continuous improvement program aligned with plant strategy and SHEQ standards
- Lead process optimization projects in production and warehouse environments (efficiency, energy savings, quality, cost reduction, reliability)
- Analyze production data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and deliver measurable results
- Facilitate Lean and Six Sigma initiatives (Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, etc.) and train/coach employees in these methodologies
- Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance, SHEQ, Supply Chain, and HR teams to ensure successful execution of improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental regulations
- Report project progress, outcomes, and performance improvements to the management team
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Industrial Engineering)
- Proven experience leading improvement projects in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, ideally within the (petro)chemical industry
- Solid knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies:
- Orange Belt with several years of hands-on experience, or
- Green Belt with a recent certification and strong motivation to further develop practical expertise
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and process monitoring
- Background in project management and/or change management within an industrial context is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Proactive, results-driven, and capable of creating engagement and buy-in across all levels of the organization
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and familiarity with analytical tools
